About Fred
Fred is a desktop window to Alfresco. Fred is complementary to the Alfresco web interfaces and brings the central document repository closer to your desktop working environment.
Fred looks like Explorer and acts like Alfresco. Making Enterprise Content Management (ECM) intuitive and fast is Fred’s aim. The most commonly-used document actions are now available in a working environment commonly familiar to most users.
Through Fred, you will easily be able to enter multiple documents into Alfresco or locate and open documents from Alfresco. As long as you have an internet connection, you will be able to work remotely, using Fred; it enables performance and productivity, wherever you are, using the same user interface.
